ISMN allocation in German-speaking countries

On behalf of the DMV (Deutscher Musikverleger-Verband) Acamar Management and Service GmbH has taken over ISMN-allocation for the following countries:

• Austria
• Germany
• Switzerland

The ISMN (International Standard Music Number) is a particular number-range within the EAN (European Article Number), which nowadays can be found as a barcode on almost all retail products. Similar to the ISBN, which was introduced for books, the ISMN was designed as a machine-readable identification number solely for printed music and musical products.
